1) Gift an Experience
People who love to travel often value experiences over things, so consider gifting a concert ticket, a gift card to a nice restaurant, or a unique experience on Groupon. Some of my favorite experiences to gift are dance classes for my newly engaged friends (so that they can get help with their opening dances!), workout classes for my health conscious family members, cooking classes for foodies, helicopter rides for thrill seekers, and spa gift cards for anyone who needs to relax (don’t we all?!)
In addition to being unique and thoughtful, the greatest part about gifting an experience is that it is eco-friendly and often supports small businesses. Many of the above experiences are now available virtually as well.
2) Packing Cubes and Compression Bags
Packing cubes have changed my life! You can fit so much more into a suitcase by using packing cubes, and they also help you to keep your suitcase organized. I use these and I love them.
Compression bags are another life-saver for making space in your suitcase. Check them out here
3) Foldable Toiletry Case
I am a very high-maintenance traveler when it comes to toiletries. I am a skin-care junkie and have many products that I refuse to travel without, especially for long trips. Foldable and hangable toiletry bags keep everything organized, and make it easy repack at the end of a trip. I have this bag by Vera Bradley and I am obsessed with it!
4) Reef Safe Sunblock
Chemicals in sunscreen damage coral reefs. I try to always use reef-safe sunblocks, but they can be very expensive! As a budget traveler, I always appreciate receiving these items as gifts and not having to purchase them myself. Here is my favorite reef-safe sunblock.
5) Travel Pillow and Airplane Foot Rest
This footrest takes airplane comfort to the next level, and here is one of my favorite neck pillows.
6) Airplane Seat Back Organizer
Is anyone else totally grossed out by the airplane seat storage sections? They are crawling with the crumbs and bacteria of left behind snacks, napkins, and garbage. Help your loved ones keep their items easily accessible and free of germs by gifting a Travel Seat Back Organizer.
7) Personal Item Sized Backpack
The easiest way to save money on a flight is by limited your checked bags. You can make the most of your personal item by getting a bag meant to fit perfectly under the airline seat, such as this one.
8) Tripod/Selfie Stick
If you took a solo trip to Europe and didn’t post about it on the ‘gram, did it even happen? Help the travelers in your life boost their selfie game by getting them a deluxe selfie stick that also includes a tripod attachment.
9) Microfiber Towel
Microfiber towels are perfect for travel because they dry super quickly and also take up less space in your luggage. I take mine with me on every trip!
10) A Cute Travel Skirt
I own this skirt in multiple colors. This is one of my favorite skirts to take on vacation because it does not wrinkle and it looks really flattering in photos. I also love that it can be dressed down for a day of sight seeing or dressed up for a more formal activity.
11) Travel-Themed Jewelry
I love these beautifully designed yet discreet necklace maps.
12) Scratch Map
Scratch maps are a fun way to keep track of the different places you have traveled to, and they also look beautiful as part of your decor! Check out a cute scratch map here or here.
13) Personalized Calendar
Help travelers re-live their favorite travel memories by making a personalized calendar with photos from their travels.
14) Books to Fuel Wanderlust
A few of my favorites are “Eat Pray Love“, “Love With a Chance of Drowning“, and “Wild“.
15) Give the Gift of Airport Lounge Access
A priority pass membership gives membership to over 1300 lounges and airport experiences worldwide.
